On the eve of the Day of Russia, Sergey Zhvachkin, the governor of Tomsk region, presented state awards to the regional administration, including three awards to the employees of Tomsk State University.
“Scientists all over the world are wondering about the phenomenon of the Russian character, because it incorporates the strength and greatness of the country. I am very glad that those sitting here are people with just such a character: hardworking, assertive, and purposeful. I am proud to work with you and shake your hand,” Sergey Zhvachkin addressed to the participants.
Eduard Galazhinsky, TSU rector, and Yury Chumlyakov, head of the High-Strength Crystal Physics Laboratory, Kuznetsov Siberian Institute of Physics and Technology, were presented with the Medal of the Order for Merit to the Fatherland, 2nd degree.
Alexander Adam, head of the Department of Ecology, Nature Management and Environmental Engineering, TSU Institute of Biology, was awarded the Certificate of Honor from Tomsk region.
